TrueCARE Ghana is a non-governmental organization whose primary objective is to facilitate funds to help in:
Effective community development leads to reduced crime, decreased disparities among citizens, improved job availability, a more talented workforce, and fewer overall issues impacting residents. While community development may not solve all societal problems, it significantly reduces them and increases opportunities for growth.
TrueCARE Ghana is deeply committed to ending the suffering caused by treatable diseases. We aim to help those who have been abandoned and rejected to regain their lives and become active, healthy members of their families and communities. No one should endure a life of misery and isolation simply because they cannot access help.
Over the past four years, we have been at the forefront of pursuing systems and measures to alleviate suffering. We support the needy and deprived in various ways, complementing the efforts of central and local governments in social interventions.
In 2018, we provided cash and 200 brand-new wheelchairs to the Ghana Federation of Disabled, the umbrella body for all disability associations in Ghana. In 2019, we supplied wheelchairs, cash, and technical support to the Mephibosheth School for Special Needs. In 2020, we provided cash, food items, and technical support to the Weija Leprosarium multiple times and built a fully furnished one-bedroom house at Akuapem Mampong for the last surviving Nkrumah bomb victim, now deceased.
Additionally, we have adopted and cared for over 15 children with special needs born into needy families over the years.
